Many tourists include this in their tour package, while some travel solo. Typically, a 3-day tour covers Mt Bromo, waterfalls, and Mt Ijen, or variations of this itinerary. Most tours begin in Malang, and you can choose your tours locally or through any travel booking site. However, I stayed near CemoroLawang, which is very close to the sunrise point, and I recommend staying here as it's easy to walk to the sunrise point. You can rent a bike in Probolinggo and then head to CemoroLawang, enjoying a pleasant ride with numerous fruit vendors and dining options along the way.
The national park ticket costs about 1200 INR, which is quite expensive. However, you can bypass this by taking a small detour to the sunrise point. From there, you can follow the horse route to hike up to the crater, offering a scenic walk. I encountered some French girls at the sunrise point who encouraged me to take this hike, and it was a delight meeting them.

On the way back, I grabbed a snack from a street vendor, and these kids are enjoyable to be around. They are very curious about what I'm doing in their hill village.
